COUNTY COUNCILLOR
County Councillor Chloe Turner represents Chalford, Brimscombe/Thrupp and Minchinhampton Parish Councils. Cllr Turner is elected by the people to represent them on Gloucestershire County Council and has to consider both the interests of the local electorate and what is in the best interests of the county of Gloucestershire as a whole.

GCC MOBILE LIBRARY IN CHALFORD
The mobile library has been off the road with a significant electrical failure.
The mobile library visits on a regular four week cycle stopping at three locations in the parish - Bussage, Chalford Hill and France Lynch. The stops range from 1.5 to 2 hours to allow you to:
- Browse the book shelves
- Use the computer with free internet access
- Find information from library staff and other public sector partners
- Wheelchair access is available.
Chalford Parish comes under Stroud District Council. The District Council has a statutory responsibility for a range of services including:
- Planning and building control
- Rubbish collection and recycling
- Housing
- Leisure and recreation facilities including a museum, parks and sports centres
- Environmental health and licensing
- Economic development and tourism.
