 Kate joined the parish council in 2018 as Assistant Clerk and was appointed as Parish Clerk in April 2023.  As the council's Proper Officer, she is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the parish council, supporting councillors and ensuring the council operates efficiently and in line with statutory requirements.  Kate has lived in the parish for 25 years and has a strong knowledge of the local area.  She enjoys her role and feels fortunate to live locally and to work alongside such a dedicated team of councillors.

Lesley has worked for Chalford Parish Council since 2023 and is the Deputy Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer, as well as Clerk to the Plans Assessment and Finance and Management Committees. In her role, she also provides vital support to the Clerk across the many and varied activities of the Parish Council, helping to ensure its smooth and effective operation. Outside of work, Lesley enjoys reading and knitting—so keep an eye out for her postbox toppers.

Chalford Parish Council is excited to announce that we have a vacancy for an Assistant Clerk to join our small, friendly team at the Parish Centre in Bussage.

The Details:

• Part-time: 3 hours per day, Monday to Thursday
• Hours: To be worked between 10am and 2pm (with some flexibility)

• £14.59 per hour
• Location: Parish Centre, Bussage

Chris started working for Chalford Parish Council in 2017. He has a wealth of experience having been in the industry for over 30 years. Chris is full time and we are sure that you will see him around the parish while carrying out his duties. Chris was born and raised in Chalford and takes pride in looking after the parish.
