Valley Playing Field Update

After a delay at the laboratory, we are pleased to report that the results have been returned to Paul Nathaniel of LQM, who is preparing his technical report. Once finalised, it will be submitted to Stroud District Council (SDC) for review, and the Parish Council will be informed of the outcome.

While the laboratory delays have been outside the control of LQM, SDC and the Parish Council, we want to assure residents that we have continued progressing work within our control.

Although we cannot prejudge the outcome of the investigation, even if approval is granted, the laboratory delays and the potential work required before the site can safely reopen mean the playing field will not be ready for the start of the summer holidays.

We know how important the Valley Playing Field is to our community and appreciate how disappointing this will be. However, we believe it is important to provide an honest update on the current position. We remain committed to reopening the playing field at the earliest opportunity, subject to the necessary approvals and work.

We are not yet able to confirm the date of the next public meeting but will do so as soon as we have further information to share.
