"The first tennis club in Chalford consisted of just two grass courts, but over the years the club has built up a thriving membership, and for many years there were four courts with all-weather surfaces and floodlighting. At the end of 2010 the LTA awarded us a grant of £38,000 towards building another court, in 2011 the club now provides its members with five floodlit, all-weather courts. In 2019 the LTA provided financial support allowing us to resurface two of our courts with synthetic clay. This is proving a very popular move and many members enjoy the choice of court surface that Chalford offers."
